I have lived in Blackbutt for more than a decade after building our home when the estate was first opened for sale.
In October 2007, I made the decision to sell my home after interviewing two real estate agents I chose one who valued my property at the top of the market. During the 3-month exclusive contract period I was advised to drop sale value of my home on two occasions and received two offers which were very low and completely unacceptable to me.
I took my house off the market for a few months over Christmas and the New Year. At the time I was considering relisting my property in early March 2008, I was introduced to Adam Gromek at Right Choice Real Estate.
From the outset Adam was upfront and realistic about the market value and the way in which the property should be sold. As a result my home was sold within 6 weeks of listing and at a more acceptable offer than presented 3 months earlier by the previous agent. This was an excellent result given that the market was more difficult than in late 2007.
